Your choice comes first

This site loads no analytics, no advertising pixel and no third-party video until you accept. If you decline, or if you do nothing, none of those load. No tracking cookie is written and no data goes to those companies.

You choose in a dialog the first time you visit. You can change the choice at any time. Use the Privacy Choices control in the footer of every page. If you accepted and then turn tracking off, the page reloads so that the tracking code stops.

What we collect

When you send the contact form

We collect your first name, last name, telephone number, email address and your message. We send this to our staff by email, and we send you a confirmation email. Our email provider is Mailgun. We keep these enquiries for 24 months.

When you accept tracking

We load Google Analytics 4. It writes cookies to your browser and sends Google information about your device, your browser, the pages you open and your IP address. Google processes that data on its own terms. If you decline, Google Analytics never loads.

Your privacy choice itself

We keep a record of the choice you make. The record holds a random identifier, the choice, the version of this policy, the time you chose, the time we received it and how you chose.

The record holds no IP address and no user agent. We keep it for 24 months, to show that we asked you and what you answered.

Always

Our host keeps standard server logs for a limited period, to deliver the site and to keep it secure. Images and video files on this site load from our content delivery network, which receives your IP address in order to send you the file. Those requests set no cookie.

Cookies and browser storage

• trackgate-consent — always present. It holds your privacy choice in your browser. It is not a tracker and we do not receive it.
• _ga and _ga_* — written only after you accept. Google Analytics uses them to tell whether you have visited before.

If you decline, the second group is never written.

Who receives your data

• Google — analytics data, but only after you accept.
• Mailgun — the contact form you send, so that we can receive it by email.
• Vercel — standard server log data, because Vercel hosts this site.
• Sanity — our content delivery network, which sends you the images and video on the site.
• Supabase — the record of your privacy choice.
• YouTube — video data, but only after you accept and open a third-party video.

Video

A third-party video shows a placeholder until you accept. No video loads and no data goes to the video company before that. When you accept, we use the YouTube no-cookie address. Video files that we host ourselves play without tracking you.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your rights

If you live in California, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you, and where it came from;
• give you a copy of it;
• correct it, if it is wrong;
• delete it.

Use the contact form to make a request. We answer within 45 days. We may ask you for information that lets us match your request to our records. We do not charge for a request and we do not treat you differently because you made one.

You can withdraw consent for tracking at any time, without making a request. Use the Privacy Choices control in the footer.

Children

This site is not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from a child under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect, we raise the version of this policy. The dialog then asks you again, and your earlier choice does not carry over.
